All about Noah!

Pat was able to go to Noah's Grandparents Day - it

was an 'all guys' day with Pat, Jeff & Noah.  Lunches were packed

for all three and the weather co-operated for an outside picnic.

Poor Noah - such a serious, almost ready to retire teacher - life is tough!

AND she has no sense of humor!

Moving on to the football season - he did really, really well this year.

When you are the youngest you learn to run very fast!

Hey - are you here for the party??

We celebrated Katie's 5th birthday in the park - the weather was wonderful!

No one can top a five year old's enthusiasm and Katie was in fine form - she

greeted everyone with - 'I'm five' accented with a tiny hand spread as far as possible.

The food was heating up so we decided to open presents.

 Hmmm - are we seeing cheerleading in her future?

 We were awash in a sea of pink - princesses, fairies, Barbies - you name it.

 I turned around and Sam was perfecting his

me up?' pose.  It worked!

 Joy made a wonderful Barbie cake - strawberry of course.

A Walters Post!!

We've been celebrating the Walters lately & I have the pictures to prove it! 

On August 21st Audrey & Seth were baptised following

their profession of faith weeks earlier.  Lawson Baptist is a wonderful

church with believers who put their love where their mouth is. 

They were amazing during Audrey's hospital stay. 

Here are the 'baptizees' prior to the service.  Love those smiles!

 The church doesn't have a permanent baptismal so they extend

the 'stage' and bring the baptismal out along with a

small step stool to climb in.  The kids went over their

testimony with Uncle Ryan and he read it before each one

was baptised.  The first one baptised was Seth.

 I wasn't familiar with the 'towel lady' concept but it worked.

 Next it was Audrey's turn.  She has grown so much

but you can barely see her.

 We all went to the house afterwards for dinner and

a beautiful cake Steph had made.

God is so good! 

On to Jeff's big ~5 0~ birthday party celebrated last Sunday afternoon!

First a custom made cake by 'you know who' . . .

 Jeff had to keep an eye on the candles - they kept tipping over - must be age!

Baby sister is all growed up!

Ginny & I decided we didn't want to do one of those

over the hill birthdays for Dana's 50th -

she is just too much fun for that sort of thing. 

So we simply decided to celebrate Dana with a

South of the Border party!

Lunch was a taco bar, chips and guacamole, Corona

and margaritas - you know - all the traditional

birthday food.

equally lovely kids, Jake and Jessica.

A small disclaimer before you view the next picture -

in a completely stereotypical fashion we decided bushy

black mustaches would indicate this was a South of the

Border party and we wanted the family shot to fit . . .
Dana was the only one who got a sombrero tho!

You know how it is so great when all the little ones

cooperate - you're so proud of what a great job you've

done as a parent or grandparent and then . . .

 

reality rears its' ugly head and the truth is out??

We really did not know Dana was taking a

course in Ninja!!!

Actually Ginny had hung up a Piñata but Dana

did not reach her 50th BD without getting tougher and she

kept whacking it hard enough to send it flying.  As you can

see we all rushed to help her hang it back up - 'cause

that's how we roll! 

The kids found it

easier to hit on the ground with Uncle Pat's help.

VICTORY!!!

 Back inside for some cuddle time with Sam -

he had shaved while we were outside. 

Jessie's birthday was right around the corner so

we included her in the celebrating - she's pretty

cool too.

Pat & I had flown down so after the party Gary, Ginny and

Madison gave us a lift back to the airport.  I could be

seeing a future pilot here . . . . 

The next day we also celebrated Pat's birthday but

since his wasn't a 'Decade' birthday all he got was

presents and one crummy fruit trifle.  That is what

happens when you stay 39 for 28 years!!

Happy Birthday to Dana, Jessie & Pat - you are

all pretty special people!!
