Arrow of Light Ceremony

Tonight was Seth's 'Arrow of Light' ceremony for scouts. This ceremony acknowledges Webelos who have achieved the highest honors. The scout leader lit a series of candles discussing each step along the way. She then went through the traits of scouts assigning each one to a boy. When she came to Seth the trait she used was bravery. This is a long video divided into two parts but watch Seth's face.

He has gone through some really rough times at school with concentrating, holding still, focusing etc. A good friend of Lindsey's mentioned that her husband had similar reactions to artificial food dyes - especially yellow. We've spent several weeks playing detective and Steph has watched his diet very, very carefully. All kinds of wonderful changes have occurred and Seth is getting back on track in school. He is such a neat kid and it is wonderful to see him getting accolades in front of his peers.

One of the scout leaders made a beautiful name plaque with copper on it and brackets to hang the arrow each scout had made.
