Shriners are always safety conscious so the one on your left shows the kids how to correctly hold a large cigar in your right hand while riding a horse in a parade - gotta love small town parades!
Several pony carts were in the parade - the carts and ponies looked cute - the people inside uncomfortable.

The Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) chapter we belong to had a float for the first time. Pretty good for beginners!
Giving a giant reindeer 'five' makes Katie very, very different from her Aunt Steph and Aunt Lindsey who would have been running at a high rate of speed from such a monstrosity!
Here I am telling Caleb to never, ever, even think of joining bikers who insist on riding in small circles surrounded by people!

A lot of beautiful horses were also in the parade with riders of all ages
The fire engine brought the end of the parade and was also the only vehicle willing to go behind the horses!
No parade would be complete without the hotrods no matter how different their paint schemes. Turn your speakers up!

Oh Wow, what a blast from the past. We are going to the "Parade of Lights" tomorrow night with friends. Pulling out the long johns! :)
*brrrr* the memories of those horrid, horrid days. How people who've been on this earth for 16-18 years could NOT get in a straight line or turn left in a group still bedevils me. God bless you all for braving the cold for these fun pictures!
