Friday we went to Noah's school for Grandparents day!
The kids (and teachers) always put on a wonderful program.
The second grade program is patriotic as evidenced
by the first picture taken while the kids were
singing 'God Bless the USA'.
Pat and I were both fighting raging head colds but at least he
doesn't look ticked off!!
Love those wonderful little faces!!
Contrary to the video title the first song
was "America the Beautiful'. Noah told me
they had been practicing all the songs since school started.
The kids performed a wonderful version of Lee Greenwood's
'God Bless the USA'. To see all those wonderful little faces
waving their flags and singing reminds us of how
much we have to be grateful for.
Good job Noah - you & all your classmates did a wonderful job!!

Wow, that last video does give you goose bumps! Especially to see that child in the wheelchair - reminds us that America is supposed to protect all its citizens, not just the healthy or strong ones.
You are absolutely right! I wanted to make sure I got the little guy in the wheelchair in the video. All those beautiful little faces singing brought tears to my eyes. You can't help but wonder where they will be in ten or twenty years. It often gives me an opportunity to pray for the ones who catch my eye or tug at my heart.
